FUEL DISTRIBUTION & DISPENSING

ABOUT THIS PROJECT:

Enginuity Consulting upgraded, expanded, and certified Land and Dock diesel dispensing systems for a log-sorting and treatment facility. The facility barge and marine equipment were fueled with a 35,000 L tank and connected to a secondary 9,000 L tank, used for fueling land equipment. The existing distribution and dispensing system was dated and non-compliant with required code and safety standards, including the National Fire Code, Building Code, and ASME. No existing drawings were available and ‘As-found’ drawings were produced. Enginuity undertook an audit and assessment plan to determine the deficiencies and a proposal design basis for upgrades. Enginuity represented the client to work closely with local regulatory bodies to determine the most cost-effective solutions by also ensuring day-today operations remain unaffected. A new distribution and piping network was designed to integrate into the existing system. The new system featured operated controlled dispensing system. Enginuity provided procurement, tendering, testing, and commissioning of the new system.
