ABOUT THE PROJECT

Working with a major quarry drill-and-blast operation, Enginuity undertook the Project Management and Engineering to replace critical marine loading infrastructure supporting shipment of finished product to market. The existing barge loading towers had reached the end of their service life, creating increasing operational risk, maintenance burden, and potential safety exposure. Given the asset’s importance to outbound logistics, a reliable and future-ready solution was required to ensure uninterrupted material transport from pit to vessel.

Enginuity was engaged to assess replacement strategies and deliver a fully engineered tower and lift system designed specifically for the rigours of a coastal, heavy industrial environment. Multiple replacement concepts were evaluated, including review of existing foundations, structural configurations, and modernization opportunities. Following concept selection, Enginuity delivered complete multidisciplinary engineering for the new installation.

The resulting solution replaced aging infrastructure with a robust, safety-focused ramp tower system engineered to accommodate tidal fluctuations, marine exposure, and heavy haul truck loading demands, strengthening the operation’s coastal logistics chain and long-term reliability.
