Primary Crushing Plant Dumper & Infeed

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Working with a major quarry drill-and-blast operation, Enginuity led the Project Management and Engineering for a sustaining capital upgrade to the site’s primary crushing dumper and infeed system — a production-critical choke point within the materials handling circuit.

With the crushing interface directly influencing throughput and downstream performance, the project required a disciplined, risk-managed approach. Enginuity combined field investigation, digital site capture, and multidisciplinary engineering to define a practical upgrade pathway that could be executed safely within an active, high-tonnage environment.

The scope centered on integrating new infeed and vibratory equipment while rigorously assessing existing steel and concrete infrastructure. Detailed review of load paths, support conditions, and vibration implications informed decisions on what could be retained, where targeted reinforcement was required, and which components warranted full renewal. From early constructability planning through focused structural assessment, Enginuity reduced uncertainty and supported confident execution in a constrained brownfield setting.

Accomplishments:

  • Defined a practical, buildable sustaining capital upgrade strategy
  • Reduced brownfield risk through validation of existing structural capacity
  • Enabled targeted reinforcement and reuse of legacy infrastructure
  • Minimized operational disruption during planning and execution
  • Strengthened long-term reliability of a production-critical crushing interface
