General Fusion – Reactor R&D Facility
ABOUT THE PROJECT
General Fusion is an R&D firm developing a fusion power device based on magnetized target fusion with plasma injection. In support of their relocation from Burnaby to Richmond, BC, Enginuity acted as prime consultant for the Annex Facility that houses several lab test beds for their reactor. Enginuity provided overall project consulting and multidisciplinary engineering (structural, mechanical, electrical) for this tenant improvement project which required significant building and infrastructure upgrades to support the complex and unique lab equipment such as heavy impulse loads & liquid lithium distribution.
