CANNABIS EXTRACTION FACILITY

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

With recent changes to the legal framework for cannabis and its by products, there has been strong interest from cannabis industry proponents for products obtained by extraction.  Needs range from high security requirements through to strict purity of the products extracted.  The facility design and engineering needs have to address clean room specifications, air extraction and filtration, facility segregation as well as the legal requirements of accountability.

Enginuity was selected and commissioned by NextLeaf team as the prime consultant role, to supply full scope facilities engineering design (except process, led by the owner) into a newly leased building with substantial upgrades. Enginuity provided process and plant layouts, fire and safety design, Pro in addition to a wide variety of inter-related engineering tasks.  The feasibility was completed, and structural designs were finalized to enable the placement of the unit at the desired location.  However, the company experienced serious financial problems and all work was curtailed.
