ABOUT THE PROJECT:

Canexus Corp. is a major North American supplier of Caustic Soda, produced at the North Vancouver facility through electrolytic Chlor-Alkali process. Maintenance of chemical electrolyser cells has been a stupendously expensive process through long shut-down times and man power required.

Enginuity carried out feasibility and front-end engineering of the Electrolyser Maintenance Rack System that reduced the duration of shut-downs, increased productivity, and safety. Enginuity Carried out the detailed design produced tender drawing package including plant-layout, P&ID’s, structural, mechanical, and detailed fabrication shop drawings. Enginuity tendered the construction and commissioning to a number of local firms and assisted Canexus with awarding the project. Procurement assistance along with site and field installation support was provided.
